Biergartens

We couldn't get into a beer tent for dinner the first day of Oktoberfest, so we went to the Spaten beer garden.  A biergarten is a place outdoors with benches where you get served beer, and some food.

Here's a view of the biergarten.  Pretty straight forward.  People having fun.  Music being played at a volume good for conversation.  One thing that was really neat about these biergartens were the heaters.  You can see on the top the long white contraptions suspended over the benches.  Those sprayed cozy hot air onto the patrons of beer below.

So now Leigh and I decided to get artistic with beer.  Here's Leigh's cow hat next to a beer.

You can see a little insect floating around in my beer.  This insect did not stop me from drinking the rest of those sweet suds.
